Author of How to Love My Siblings

Joy Omidiji

Published at age 16

“I wanted to help kids see that sibling relationships can be a source of strength, not just conflict.”
— Joy Omidiji

Joy and her siblings joined WLIF in 2019, when leadership meetings were held in person every first Saturday of the month. Since 2021 the meetings have continued online, giving her a steady place to learn and practice new skills.

Around age 16, Coach Charles Awodu encouraged her to write. Her first book, How to Love My Siblings, was published in April 2023 — a story about love and friendship as a foundation for success.

Since then Joy has coached a session, given talks at book fairs and on camera, and launched a T-shirt design business. Now in college, she leads study groups and stays connected to the friends she made at the Foundation.
